A fortnightly clinic for new patients and follow up appointments is provided by a Specialist Parkinson’s Nurse on alternate Wednesdays at Rye Hospital.
The Specialist Parkinson’s Nurse liaises with GPs, Primary Care providers and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for people with Parkinson’s disease, Parkinson’s syndrome, PSP (Progressive supranuclear palsy), MSA (Multiple system atrophy), CBS (Corticobasal syndrome) and other specific movement disorders. Patients across a range of ages are offered advice, support and education concerning their condition following both verbal and physical assessments.
Appointments are made through referral only from a GP or other healthcare professional.
