‘The risk of falling increases as we age. Staying active and doing small exercises to improve strength and balance will not only improve health and wellbeing but will reduce the chance of long-term health conditions and fragility: helping you to stay independent for longer.’
The Falls Prevention Service provides an in-depth health and wellbeing assessment with referral for a strength and balance exercise programme as appropriate.
Assessment clinics are held at Rye Hospital once a month. This service can be accessed through Health and Social Care Connect (Tel: 0345 60 80 191), referral from your GP or other healthcare professional.
