Yesterday the hospital had to bid a fond farewell to one of the long standing volunteers Ruth Close. She has helped tirelessly at the hospital for 16 and a half years, since 2003. She always greeted visitors and staff with a friendly smile and conversation and was always willing to help at the drop of a hat. Ruth will be sorely missed by us all and we wish her all the best in her ‘retirement’ from volunteering.
